PC Backup : Outlook Shared Calendar Capability is Now Available
Posted by Gene Amtower on 2010/1/20 12:47:24 (2433 reads)

PC Backup now has the ability to provide for the sharing of calendar data for email clients, an important capability for small businesses who do not use an Exchange email server implementation.

Being able to view the calendar availability of meeting invitees is critical to being able to find a suitable time when all participants can meet, especially in today's hectic world with far-ranging demands on both our work and personal schedules. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to set up a team meeting and know that all required participants have time in their busy schedules to meet? This capability can be especially beneficial for coordinating both personal and business schedules, providing immediate value for your family as well as your work.

While this capability has been included in non-exchange Outlook email clients since Outlook 98, as well as a large number of alternate email clients, it requires a common storage area accessible to all users and needs to be configured properly. The configuration of this capability is fairly simple but has some critical pitfalls that are not adequately documented in available instructions on the Internet. Some capabilities described in available documentation simply do not work reliably, if they work at all.

Here at PC Backup, we have taken the time to find out what works and what doesn't work so that we can bring you this important collaboration capability easily and economically. Allow us to demonstrate this capability and immediately improve your ability to work in any team setting. For more details on implementing the shared calendar capability for your business or team, please call us at (937) 478-7624 or submit an inquiry through the "Contact Us" form on this website.
