XOOPS is an open-source (aka free) site framework that provides many basic capabilities out-of-the-box (aka OOTB) and allows for site customization in a number of ways. Many different plug-in content modules are available that allow the site content to include whatever suits the specific goals and needs of the site, from a simple company publicity site to a complex user community with interaction functionality. Additionally, since the architecture is open and publicly shared, customization of existing modules or creation of new modules can provide for the rare requirement that can't be met by the available modules.

While this change is intended primarily to replace the antique site content at www.pcbackuponline.com with new and fresh content with minimal effort, it also serves as a development testbed for implementation of customer web sites with minimal effort and investment, too.
